Anger Management

Control the Inner Beast with Anger Management Techniques

We all get angry in our lives at one point or another, the question is how well do we control that inner beast within us. We have coworkers that just make us want scream, this is after we have sat in rush hour traffic for way too long because of a family of ducks crossing the highway. Now yes the initial reaction is to scream at people who have absolutely no control over the situation or hit the gas and have duck under glass for dinner. Neither of these are good solutions to the issue at hand, so you will need to find a healthy way of dealing with all that rage that you have.

Now before you go to unleash the beast on the back of somebody's head you will need to find ways of dealing with this, I introduce you to anger management. This is nothing like the movie by the same name that starred Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler, where dear ole Jack plays an anger management instructor who takes Adam Sandler under his wing to control his anger issues.

There are several life coaches that will help you out with trying to channel your anger in a positive fashion. Coming from a person who has dealt with anger issues I can tell you that this is not an easy subject to discuss. You will have to first acknowledge to yourself that there is a problem, this is the first step to conquering any problem that you have in life regardless of whether it is anger, drugs or any other vice you may have.

Anger is a byproduct of stress, and since you can't get rid of the stress you will need to find a way of getting rid of the anger from said stress. Now the firs thing that you will learn in anger management is to meditate, this is a great exercise in preventing you from just blowing your top and going off on your co-workers. Anger management is not about repressing your anger it is about expressing it in a healthy manner that allows you to vent without causing emotional or physical damage to the person or persons that are causing your anger.

If you remember the movie Falling Down With Michael Douglass that is and example of a person who did not handle their anger in a responsible manner. This is an example of a person who held their anger in until it reached a boiling point. The other type is the person who just lets loose with their anger and acts impulsively on their anger.

These two examples are of people who did not handle their anger in a positive manner. One great technique in anger management is to emote to the other person the things that you are feeling towards that person, this needs to be done in a manner that is respectful of the other persons point of view.

These are just a few things that you need to keep in mind when dealing with anger management and trying to keep your temper under control and not allowing your temper to overtake you.

I am 17 years old and seem to have anger management issues. I am not a very emotional person, but when I get angry I blow up. However, this only seems to happen around my family. I play sports and am a strait A student and normally get along with everyone. Would I benefit from anger managment classes? What are some other strategies for controlling my anger? it's normally my younger siblings that set me off. they think it's incredibly funny to intentionally annoy me and watch me get worked up. i have tried talking to my parents but they just say to igore it.

I seriously think I have an anger issue. I flip out over little things and I can be the biggest bitch on the entire Earth, my friends aren't even afraid to tell me that. I broke my older sisters nose twice. I get mad when people look at my computer screen and I start swearing. I'm seriously scared if I ever get in a fight with a girl I might kill her. I mean seriously bash her head in. Do I need anger management?
